Why Beth’s Beets?

There are two reasons: 

Firstly, I named my company Beth’s Beets after the iron-rich vegetable that helped me heal from anaemia (iron depleted blood) when I was a teenage cross country and track athelete. Trying extra hard to run my best times and study my hardest during my University admissions year backfired when my body was deficient, resulting in fatigue and brain fog.  

A proper diagnosis took a long time but once I got my blood work done, I was able to start to get better and saw first hand the effect of Nutrition on my mental outlook, focus and goals. This formative experience has had a big influence on how I developed my practise… a constant reminder to look after one’s health before problems start to appear and always look to root causes, not just symptoms. 

Secondly, I named my company Beth’s Beets as a playful reminder that a little rhythm and tunes will always make food prep and work so much more fun and rewarding. Dance to your own beat… or beets!
